Data Services

The College of Design data services consists database development, simple web application development, and on-going maintenance of it's custom made applications. All CDes applications are unique to the college but are also not shadow systems of existing enterprise-wide solutions.

The college has a large number database applications for its internal staff. The largest consumer of data services is CDes Student Services. They use their applications to manage student contact information, manage Honors student lists, graduation lists, etc.

The second area includes web applications development for internal staff use. One example is the web based Mentor application / RSVP system, allowing mentors and mentees to sign up for the CDes mentoring program.

Please see the Web Design and Database Technical Standards document for information regarding support services.
