College to Career Program
The College of Design's College to Career Program connects students to professionals through opporutnities including tours, portfolio critiques, networking panels, and more.
Students visit, explore, and learn about organizations and companies in their field of study. This is an excellent opportunity to begin exploring your discipline and get an inside view of a variety of organizations.
Portfolio Critiques and Career Panels
These events introduce students to professionals where they can receive advice about their discipline and get feedback on their work.
CDes Mentor Program

Career and Internship Services
Experienced career counselors are available to help students in deciding major/career plans, locating internships/experience opportunities, effective job searching, and graduate school selection and application. Additional information about the center can be found at www.careerhelp.umn.edu.
Career and Internship Preparation Courses
Students are encouraged to register for one of the career classes created especially for CDes students to prepare for the internship/job search. Topics in the course include preparing effective discipline-specific resumes, interviewing techniques, job searching, and salary negotiation.
