(in)sight -- 42nd Annual Fashion Show
Saturday, February 6, 2010, shows at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Rapson Hall

(in)sight showcases 14 graduating apparel designers. These up-and-coming designers will present original collections ranging from workwear to eveningwear and the avant garde to the mystical. Everyone in attendance will take away a designer lookbook -- a program featuring the graduating designers and a visual representation of their work. A standing exhibition of work by the sophomore class and a pre-runway show from the junior class will also be included.

Advance tickets available at the St. Paul Student Center or online. $15 general seating, $8 balcony standing, $40 VIP. (At the door: $20 general seating, $10 balcony standing). All tickets purchased online will be available at will-call in Rapson Hall one hour before show time.

Design in the Dark: A Film Series
All films second Thursday of the month, 7 p.m., 33 McNeal Hall

A workshop-format presentation addressing aspects of fund-raising, philanthropy, and human interaction from the perspectives of four generations: Traditionalists, baby-boomers, gen x-ers, and millennials. Join us for a lively, interactive workshop and discussion.

An entrepreneurial generation x-er, Stillman is co-founder of BridgeWorks, a company dedicated to solving generational issues in the workplace and in the marketplace. Based on research and work with numerous organizations, Stillman and his business partner Lynne Lancaster co-authored the book When Generations Collide: Who They Are. Why They Clash. Solving the Generational Puzzle at Work (HarperCollins 2002). He has been featured in Time, Lifetime, and Working Mother magazines, and appeared on CNN, CNBC, and the Today show.

Presented by the Buckman Fellowship for Leadership in Philanthropy and the University of Minnesota Foundation.
