Prospective Transfer Students
Spring 2014:
Priority Deadline - October 1, 2013
Landscape Design and Planning, Housing Studies, Pre Graphic Design majors ONLY. Applications are reviewed on a space available basis after this deadline. There is a chance a major may fill after reviewing the applications submitted by the priority deadline so you are encouraged to get your application in by the priority date. If you want to major in Pre Architecture, Pre Apparel Design,
Pre Interior Design, or Retail Merchandising, please do NOT apply to a different
major for spring term.
Final Deadline - December 1, 2013.
Fall 2014:
Priority Deadline - March 1, 2014. Applications are reviewed on a space available basis after this deadline. There is a chance a major may fill after reviewing the applications submitted by the priority deadline so you are encouraged to get your application in by the priority date.
Final Deadline - May 15, 2014. U of M students applying to the Architecture BDA program should use this deadline. Students applying to the Arch BS have until May 31 to submit their admissions materials.

Transferring as a degree-seeking student from outside the U of M system (including from CCE), please submit the appropriate Transfer Admissions Application and the CDes Trasnfer Application Supplement to the central Office of Admissions.
Changing colleges or campuses within the U of M system, please submit the following to any Onestop Service Center:
Changing majors within CDes (including to the Arch BDA or BS) OR if you are changing majors with CLA to the Arch BA, please submit the following application to 107 Rapson Hall:

Students transferring from outside the U of M (or CCE) will be notified by postal mail. Students transferring from within the U of M system will be notified via EMAIL to their U of M email account. If you don't remember how to access your U of M email account call 612-301-4357.
College of Design domestic transfer students are automatically considered for a transfer scholarship based on an overall assessment of their admissions application. International students are automatically considered for the Global Excellence Scholarship based on an overall assessment of their admissions application. Students will be notified by mail if they are offered a scholarship.
